This wheat woven piece is called a "Lantern". It is considered a traditional piece. The shape was first woven and given its name hundreds of years ago. The shape reminds us of the importance of light to farm life. My version of this traditional piece is approximately 4 1/2 long and is embellished with a wheat rose. | |||
